Manulife Adds To Board, Makes Senior Latin American Hire

Manulife has appointed Pamela O. Kimmet to its board of directors and Diana Stockwell to a new position within its asset management arm as head of Latin American sales and relationship management. Kimmet has been senior vice president, human resources at Coca Cola Enterprises since 2008. She brings human resources leadership experience, including in the financial services industry, having previously held senior positions at Bear, Stearns & Company and Citigroup. “Pam has a great deal of experience in many diverse industries,” said Richard DeWolfe, chairman of the board at Manulife. “Her more than 25 years in talent management, compensation and organization design make her an invaluable addition to the Management Resources and Compensation Committee as well as the Risk Committee of the Board.” Stockwell was previously vice president – head of Latin American sales and relationship management at State Street Global Advisors. She will report to Frank Saeli, head of distribution, US and Latin America at Manulife Asset Management. Manulife provides financial advice, insurance and wealth and asset management solutions for individuals, groups and institutions. At the end of 2015, it had C$935 billion in assets under management and administration. Listed in stock exchanges in Toronto, New York, the Philippines and Hong Kong, the group has its principal operations in Asia, Canada and the US. In its recent results statement for the fourth quarter of last year, it reported net inflows into its wealth and asset management arms, with business driven by acquisitions and gross flows of C$31.1 billion.
